Production: 1996-2003 (probably)
Colour: a few colours
Scale: 1:43
Regarding a Facebook post white this model image, Aart corrected me with the real models quantity of this 900 Monte Carlo Challenge. I quote the email received from is son.
“The real story is that this Dutch challenge was organized by a friend and the importeur from Saab in The Netherlands (AIM) my father Aart did work there for 40 years, so you can understand that Saab is a big part of my life, a few friends from me drived that challenge and they asked me if I can make a limited edition, I did have connections with the company who also made special editions for Tekno Holland (Scania) , this was a company was a social working place for people with social problems. Every person was unique and it was beautiful too see what they can make, 50 yellow models and a few special one’s for my own collection..a few years ago I stopped with my collection of saab scale models , above was the story from the Monte Carlo challenge.” Edwin
According to SAAB-ARCHIVE, “A few colours were sold only by Minichamps and others were available only in the “Saab Model Car-Collection” through Saab-dealers.
Limited/Special edition – A Dutch Convertible-Club used this yellow 900 for their “Monte Carlo Challenge” in 1998 or 1999. A very rare item because only 15 yellow models were made. Also it is sure that one red Convertible and two other colours (each one) are existing”
